The Life of
Rowaena Firedia
Hi. My name is Rowaena Firedia, but I'm usually known as simply Rowena (pronounced "Rowehna"). My mother was a sorceress and popular political leader on a planet called Taera. Around 10 thousand years ago, before even the Kherubim and Daemonites crash-landed on this planet, my mother and a group of other explorers landed. Thousands of years later, my mother, Zanael, met an officer of the Roman army, and I resulted. She died in childbirth, killed out of jealousy by my cousin, another sorceress, known to the Kherubim as Tapestry. My father died some time later, and I was raised my a friend of my mother's, another Taerian politician named Kiriam.
I presently live in San Francisco and work as a diplomat between International Operations and my mother's home planet. How did I get the job? Connections. My mother was a very popular Councillor (the equivalent of a president or prime minister), and was almost elected to the High Council, the ruling tribunal, of Taera; on this side of the galaxy, I date the I/O director, Ben Santini. So that, and the fact that I have part of both planets in my blood, made me somewhat of a shoo-in for the job.
On this page you'll read about my life and experiences. It tends to be a little angsty, because I think my Writer, Aurora Borealis, is sadistic. Eventually there'll be pictures and links and things, but give us time!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT(Translation: rant)

Yeah. I know. The page hasn't been updated in months. Would you like to know why? I bet you would. Well, I'll tell you. About a year ago my darling writer Aurora Borealis fell for this guy who doesn't even live in the same time zone as she does, not to mention the same country. (Let it be known here that I have no problem with international relationships. I've had one or two). Everything was fine for a while, and then - this is the kicker - she started writing him a screenplay. A movie. I'm flattered that she based the main character on me, but that's no excuse for ignoring the rest of us. We've been sitting in the Subreality Cafe for months! Months! She says that this...this thing (she calls it Histories) has drained her creativity and she can't write anything outside of that universe anymore, but we're not so sure. I've been put in one or two round robins here and there, but still. Anyway, that's why this place hasn't been updated in so long. At the moment she's considering moving her other web page over here, and we're working on her to update. So be patient. Thank you.
